I've had my eye on Paint the Roses and Cryptid for a while, and now I'm adding that specific Exit game to the list as well.

We're really into the mystery-solving and escape-type puzzles in my group, but we can't seem to find one that we all agree on after finishing all the available Deckscapes and Sherlocks. I've tried Detective, which is a little similar to Chronicles of Crime, and my friends found it too complicated. I'm trying the Unlock series and some of your recommendations next lol

What have you thought of the Deckscape games? I have one waiting on my shelf to be played!

It's simple and there's the downside of only playing once, but it's hard not to like them. My boyfriend is a fan. A detail that made it more challenging/fun for me is how you may have multiple paths to follow, but you need to unlock clues on one part of the deck to solve a few puzzles on another.

(Not sure how it compares to games like Exit and Escape Tales, though, because I haven't played either yet.)

Some of the Exit games can be fairly linear, so I'm especially curious now! (That said, I'd highly recommend the Exit series — I've loved almost every one of them I've played, and the ones I didn't love, I at least liked well enough.)

Thanks for the detail!
